year, Halloween seems to get a bad rap from some one of
some group of people. This tends to scare us more then any new horror
film ever could. here, you'll find some of the articles we've found and
why they scare us. Maybe if we all stand up for the right to celebrate
Halloween, we can put a stop to this nonsense! |

Kindergartener
Suspended from School
October 1998 - Curtisville: How a plastic
hatchet from a child's Halloween costume can be considered a weapon is beyond any stretch
of our imagination. But it was...and that's why five-year-old Jordan Lock of suburban
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was suspended for a day from kindergarten.
The boy went to Deer Lakes Elementary School in
Curtisville last Friday dressed as a firefighter. His mother, Annette, tells the
Pittsburgh Post Gazette she received a call from the school principal... saying there was
a serious problem with Jordan's costume and that he was being suspended for violating the
school district's weapons policy.
The suspension cost Mrs. Locke 22 dollars for a
babysitter to watch the boy on his day of suspension.
