Draculatour 2001 - The Annual Vampire
Vacation
THE ULTIMATE HAUNTED HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE
"Draculatour 2001" (subtitled
"the annual vampire vacation"), the well-known travel package to TRANSYLVANIA
heralded for its quality and uniqueness, is officially set for October 28 - November 4,
2001, and reservations are now being accepted for this 4th annual adventure.
For anyone who loves the supernatural, the paranormal, the unexplained and all things
horrific & vampiric; for anyone who considers themselves a Vampire or understands the
Vampyre lifestyle; for anyone "gothic;" for anyone who appreciates the films of
Bela, Boris or Vincent; for anyone who reads the classics of Poe & Lovecraft to the
current works of Koontz, King, Rice, Lansdale or Laymon; for anyone who grew up on Famous
Monsters of Filmland or can't resist a copy of Fangoria or Rue Morgue; for fans of Dark
Shadows, Rocky Horror, Buffy or the X-Files; for Wiccans, Warlocks and students of the
occult; for lovers of castles, catacombs or cemeteries; or for those who just love
Halloween as their favorite holiday . . . this is the definitive travel adventure.
What are some of the highlights of this trek of terror? Travelers will actually follow the
footsteps of Jonathan Harker's trail from Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula." There
will be time in Bucharest ascending the Carpethian Mountains to Vlad Castle. Everyone will
be part of a hair-raising (spirit-raising?) séance in a secluded graveyard in Brasov.
There will be visits to the Black Church and haunted Farmer's Market in Sighisoara,
birthplace of Dracula (Vlad), as well as a trek to the eerie Clock Tower and Square
History Torture Museum. All participants will journey through Borgo Pass to Dracula's
Castle to experience the definitive Halloween eve: Masquerade Ball, Vampire Show, Dinner
and "Monster Mash" Dance Party right in Dracula's Castle! Additionally, there is
an exploration of the Snagov Monastery (Tomb of Dracula) as well as the Transylvanian
Castle of Bran, a fortress built in 1377 and preserved as national monument. This is only
the sightseeing part of the trip, which is actually both entertaining and educational. The
evenings are filled with howling parties, witch trials, bonfires, moonlit endeavors (!)
and other surprises. It's one day longer than all previous trips to fit in all the great
activities planned. There's more head-turning than in an Exorcist movie!
This professionally-guided, fully-escorted tour is ideal for the single traveler, but is
equally well-suited for couples and also families. Anyone who would enjoy dressing up (or
down) for a masquerade ball in Dracula's Castle, or would have a blood-suckingly great
time partying under a full moon in a land that time forgot, would find this to be the tour
experience of a lifetime (even if you're part of the undead!). Also, it doesn't matter if
you're a true Vampire, a Vamp wanna-be or a Vampire Hunter! The trip is
scary, spooky, campy - but most of all - fun for all ages!
Draculatour is a $3300 value for only $1699 per person, based on double occupancy. Package
price includes round-trip airfare from New York, deluxe hotel accommodations, meals,
transfers, luxury coach ground transportation, all events - attractions - admissions.
Reservations are now being accepted. To read about the past vampire vacations, or for any
