Halloween won't be on
a Friday again until 2014. The next Saturday Halloween falls in 2015.
Then we skip the Sunday Halloween and go straight to Monday. Make the
most of those years, plan ahead for them. Week-end Halloweens give you
more time to enjoy this short holiday! |

While
predicting trends for Halloween Costumes and Decorations isn't as esoteric as using a
Ouija board, it does take some figuring out and some guess work thrown in. There are several
sources of information needed to predict what will be "in" for the coming
Halloween. Current surveys, previous year statistics and good old research are the
meat and potato's of predicting anything. Being part of the largest family of Halloween
related websites on the Internet gives us a great advantage in having access to
statistical information, survey results and targeted polling.
Over the past decade, Halloween has developed
an even bigger following of adults. While we have seen growth every year, those
years that
Halloween has fallen on either a Friday or Saturday have shown the most pronounced
increase for obvious reasons. Every year more and more adults can be seen haunting
Halloween parties, walking the streets, and yes, even going Trick or Treating.
And why
not? After all, Halloween is the one day a year that
almost anything goes, allowing people to live out fantasies if only for this one night.
It gives people who are normally stressed out and/or emotionally restrained a chance to let
loose, get spooky, scary, naughty and even sexy without being judged. It's
simply an assumed persona for a night of
Halloween festivities. While traditionally
filled with ghouls, goblins, ghost and other scary characters, Halloween night is also a
very sexy holiday. Costumes portraying sexy Witches and Vampires are always a great choice.
And let us not forget the Mistress of the Dark herself, Elvira! Who
wouldn't want to be her for just one night? Adult costumed gatherings and sexy masquerade parties have become
Halloween traditions everywhere.
OUR ADULT COSTUME PREDICTIONS
This years movie
to watch for are any type of super hero movie, such as Ironman 2,
X-Men: First Class, and Thor. Don't forget Harry Potter and Hogwarts, since
the last part of the final movie comes out this summer! You'll still see a surge of pirate costumes since Capt.
Jack Sparrow and crew are back for another round in Pirates of the
Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Couples costumes will be big again this year, take a look at some of them at http://www.adulthalloweencostumes.com. The usual horror film
bad guys such as the new Michael Meyers costume and mask, Jason from the
Friday the 13th series and
Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street are all still popular. Classic movie
villains such as Dracula, the Wolfman and the Mummy are always good choices.
Theater quality Vampire and Witch costumes, particularly sexy ones
will be to die for this year. Elvira style costumes will also be in great
demand. Gothic, ghostly apparitions as couples costumes will also make an
appearance.
DECORATING PREDICTIONS
People love to
decorate for Halloween and with the mass market stores carrying large
amounts of more popular items like fog machines, tombstones, animated door
greeters, everyone can do a nice Halloween decor indoors and out! You can go
with a popular film theme or just go with old fashioned scary, just make
sure that you start putting things up w couple weeks in advance so you can
enjoy it for a while.
HALLOWEEN PARTY PREDICTIONS
Halloween
falls on a Monday this year and that means a week-end of before Halloween partying!
Have a kids party one afternoon, an adult party the next night and then on
Monday, take the kids out trick-or-treating! It will be a while before we
have a week end Halloween so you'll just have to make the best of the
week-end before or after Halloween to throw your parties. And those that hold these parties
should pull-out all the stops when it
comes to decorating and the libation!

Every
year, Halloween enthusiasts anxiously await the retail
industry to begin their Halloween season and see who's
first to stock products for the spooky season. Many
stores begin stocking Halloween products as early as
July! Every year it seems to get earlier. |
